Come 'n Try Canoe Polo

Glide through the water and Come ‘n Try Canoe Polo with Canoe SA and ‘Life. Be in it’ at:- Adelaide Aquatic Centre

on Saturday 14 August from 1pm to 3pm.

People of all ages are encouraged to ‘have a go’, with qualified instructors to guide you through the basics of Canoe Polo. Water Safety procedures will be followed to ensure you are safe in the water.

Ian Heard from Canoe SA says “Canoe Polo is not widely known as a sport but is some of the best fun you can have in a kayak getting wet. It consists of 2 teams with 5 players on the playing area each. The goals are suspended off the water and each team is allowed one player as a goalie. If you can imagine a game that is a cross between basketball and water polo played in small kayaks”.

You will be learning the basic paddle strokes as well as an introduction to the basic rules. While the game is a lot of fun, keeping you safe is also a priority. Referees control the game and International Canoe Federation Rules apply to games played at the Adelaide Competition

Instruction is FREE for participants and an entry fee applies at the Adelaide Aquatic Centre. All equipment for the come ‘n try is provided.
